Our honey cream and body lotion were developed specially for Cambridge Bee Products. The formulations were devised from traditional recipes and then tweaked for our modern needs. The base of the creams is UMF® 16+ Manuka Honey, chosen for the unique antibacterial qualities that assist in healing our bodies.

Propolis, The story so far...

Propolis comes from the resin and sap in the trees and plants.  In plants and trees, it is usually the sticky material that is around the buds and broken branches that serves to protect them from the weather elements and from bacteria, fungi, moulds and viruses.
The honeybee collects this propolis from the trees and plants to provide themselves and the beehive from harmful diseases.
Propolis is highly antimicrobial and has been found to inhibit many bacteria including MRSA, fungi which can cause thrush, athlete's foot, and other viruses.
Propolis is unique in that it is very effective against viruses.
It has a very good ability to help repair tissue and wound healing.
One of the key things in propolis is the flavonoid.  They are thought to be very important in the plant's immune system, which may explain why propolis is able to help heal. *

Manuka honey is from the native tea tree of New Zealand ... and has significant healing properties, treating burns, ulcers, throat and eye infections particularly effective with destroying bacteria associated with peptic ulcers. *
